About Dr. Koelemay
Dr. Stephen Koelemay has been in private practice in Boulder, CO, since 2013. He holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology and earned his M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver in 2010.
Stephen has professional experience in a wide range of settings, including community mental health, hospital emergency departments, and social skills therapy in the Boulder/Denver area. From 2011 to 2018, he worked at the University of Colorado Boulder, providing psychotherapy for college students at Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS), where he also served as a staff psychologist and supervised therapists-in-training.
Before his time at CAPS, Stephen worked with the Mental Health Center of Boulder and Broomfield County (MHCBBC) as part of the crisis and adult outpatient therapy teams. At MHCBBC, he provided crisis intervention services for hospital emergency rooms, along with individual and group psychotherapy for adults from diverse backgrounds living with moderate to severe mental illness.
His private practice is centrally located in Boulder.
